SurfaceLocator
The point locator of a triangle mesh (field-presentation §FVS-2, §FVS-5): a probe of a mesh item lies on its surface.

In the namespace mesh::spatial. Declared in src/libs/libmesh/mesh/spatial/SurfaceLocator.hpp.
Detailed description
locate() finds the closest point of the surface through the tree of MeshSignedDistance. A point within the tolerance of the surface lies in the nearest triangle, with the barycentric weights of its three corners (the fourth weight is 0). A point farther away is outside, at its distance from the surface. The tolerance is a part of the diagonal of the mesh's box, so a point that the depth of a frame places on the surface counts, whatever the size of the part.
Read-only once built: any number of threads can call locate() at once.
