Detailed description
The code in this namespace started as QMapControl, an open-source map widget by Kai Winter. qmapcontrol::MapControl shows the map. A qmapcontrol::LayerManager draws its layers in order: a qmapcontrol::MapLayer draws map tiles, and a qmapcontrol::GeometryLayer draws only geometries.
A qmapcontrol::MapAdapter subclass names a tile service and converts between coordinates and tiles. qmapcontrol::ImageManager loads and caches the tiles, and qmapcontrol::MapNetwork downloads them. qmapcontrol::Geometry is the base of the items on a layer: points, image points, curves and line strings.
