Detailed description

Before 2026-10-16 the upgrade was three pages that a router chained, and each page wrote as it went. The passphrase page re-keyed the hive before the person saw the recovery phrase, and back on the recovery-phrase page returned to the lobby with the sentient already full (identity-flow-hardening §IFH-U-0).

This page holds the steps itself:

  1. Name: the name of the vault, selected and focused.
  2. Passphrase: two fields and the verdict of the policy. In mode ReSecure, one field for the passphrase of the original device.
  3. Recovery phrase: the phrase of the vault, to write down.
  4. Verify: the person types the phrase back.
  5. Commit: SentientUpgrade::commit() writes once.

Mode ReSecure skips the recovery phrase and the verification (§DM-NT-2f-c). Back in the header and Escape go one step back, and on the first step they cancel. Nothing is written before the commit. The draft and the secret fields are cleared when the wizard leaves the stack, whatever the reason.
