RegionLayer

Draws the regions of a Construct: the shell of each region's field, translucent, double-sided, depth-tested without depth write, blended back to front (construct-project-space §PSR-2: "they render in the viewport as ordinary translucent volumes").

Inherits Layer

Declared in src/libs/libconstruct/construct/layers/RegionLayer.hpp.

Detailed description

The shells come from the source (RegionShell): the asset store inline, a snapshot table in a worker. They are in each region's own frame, and the layer places them with the item's world matrix on every frame, so a drag of the region's gizmo moves its shell at once. A hidden region, or one under a hidden group, draws nothing.

Regions are an editing aid, like reference images: final output (render jobs, exports, thumbnails) turns the layer off with setRegionsEnabled().

Every QRhi resource is created and uploaded in prepareResources(), outside the pass (§WFD-C1); renderPre() only records draws.
