ViewSnapshotTask

view.snapshot — one image from a camera the model places (opal-vision §OVD-3.3).

Detailed description

Requires BOTH eye and target, and that is the point: infinitely many cameras look at the same point, so a look-at point alone defines none of them (D7). Rejects an up parallel to target - eye, because that leaves the camera basis undefined and a renderer handed it emits a frame with no meaning — which the model would then describe with confidence.

Orthographic by default (D8). This feature exists to judge shape, and foreshortening is exactly what hides a symmetry error.
