Detailed description

Caps the PIXEL size through max_edge and applies region before scaling. The pixel/logical distinction is the whole point: QWidget::grab() multiplies by the device pixel ratio, so a HiDPI window arrives at twice the logical size and costs 78 percent more visual tokens for pixels the model never sees (§OVR-2, D6).
