FileKind

A kind of file that a task family knows how to show to the model (opal-mesh-references §OMD-5).

In the namespace opal::filekind. Declared in src/libs/libopal/opal/filekind/FileKindRegistry.hpp.

Detailed description

A model cannot read every file usefully. A 3D model's bytes or its vertex text tell it nothing about the shape, but a task that imports the file and a view.* task that looks at it do. The library that can do that registers the kind here, with the hint that tells the model what to do. libopal matches files against the kinds, and knows no library that registered them.
