WindowShutdownHost
The shutdown window-feature (§ACW-8 slice 3).
| Inherits | QObject |
In the namespace octomy::window. Declared in src/libs/libwindow/window/WindowShutdownHost.hpp.
Detailed description
Asks the person whether to quit, lets each activity veto the close, and ends the process through the host's exit function. NodeWindow did this in requestShutdown(), applicationShutdown(), closeEvent() and keyReleaseEvent().
The close of the window
The feature filters the close event of the window, ignores it, and asks instead. The close must never reach QWindow::destroy(): on Wayland with Vulkan, QWaylandVulkanWindow::invalidateSurface reads a destroyed VkSurfaceKHR there. The back key of Android pops the stack.
The shutdown
- An activity whose close guard says no (an unsaved scene) stops the walk. When the guard is cleared, the shutdown runs again, so the person does not ask twice.
lifecycle::beginApplicationShutdown()decides. When a task must end first,ShutdownProgressActivityis on the stack, and the exit function runs onShutdownLifecycle::shutdownReady.- When no task must end first, the window hides and the exit function runs one second later.
Note: §ACF-5 classification: **GLUE**. No lifecycle tier, no Node.
