Detailed description

spec.plan.progress — a DERIVED rollup, never stored (§DM-5.4).

A Plan holds no status of its own, so progress is a query over the units it targets. That is why a spec can change mid-implementation without anything needing to be kept in sync, and why stopping and resuming a plan is just reading where the statuses already are.
