OpalImageChip
Draws an image chip as ONE character inside a QTextEdit.
| Inherits | QObject and QTextObjectInterface |
In the namespace octomy::opal::ui. Declared in src/libs/libopal/opal/ui/OpalImageChip.hpp.
Detailed description
Specified in [§OCSD-4](../../../../content/doc/internal/specs/opal-chat-surface/design.md).
A custom text object occupies a single character slot, so one backspace removes a chip whole and no caret can land inside it. That is the whole reason this class exists rather than a styled run of text.
Qt requires the object type to be at or above `QTextFormat::UserObject`, the handler to be registered on the document layout, and the chip itself to be inserted as `QChar::ObjectReplacementCharacter` carrying the format.
