Detailed description

A node window is a QMainWindow that owns one of these. It is a member of the window, not a base: NodeWindow was the base, and §ACW-8 took each of its concerns out into a feature. This class composes them and wires them to the node:

  • of the window itself: the watermark, the geometry, the raise server, the splash, the shutdown and the toasts (libwindow, libsplash, libwidgets);
  • of the stack: the stack host, the header host and the prompt host, and the NodeActivityContext of the window's activities;
  • of the node: OPAL (NodeOpalHost), the startup (NodeWindowStartup) and the icon (NodeWindowIcon).

How a window uses it

The window makes it in its constructor, gives it its stack, loader and header while it builds its UI, and calls attach() when its node arrives. attach() runs the window's own configure step at the right moment: after the splash and the key store gate, before OPAL and the startup. The window's startup conditions go to startupGate().

A surface that has only a widget of the window finds the features with of(): the node's menus and widgets, HubMain's signal handler.

Note: §ACF-5 classification: **GLUE**. It needs a Node.
