ParallelPool
A pool of threads workers that a caller keeps across many block loops (tet-volume-improve §TVIT-6).
In the namespace mesh::process. Declared in src/libs/libmesh/mesh/process/ParallelFor.hpp.
Detailed description
parallelForBlocks() makes a pool for each call, so a step that runs dozens of short loops, one per color class, started its threads dozens of times: on 32 threads a 100 000-tet volume smoothed slower than on one (construct-bench tet-cost –improve, 2026-10-16). forBlocks() splits the range as parallelForBlocks() does, with the same contract, so its result is the same bytes; only the threads live on between calls. Do not call forBlocks() from inside one of its own blocks: the pool would wait on itself.
