SuiteBaseFolder
The base folder of one suite process (test-system-revamp §TSR-S-4): a new `octomy-test-XXXXXX` folder in the temporary folder, which the suite gets as `–base-dir <path>`.
In the namespace kiln. Declared in src/libs/libkiln/kiln/build/SuiteRun.hpp.
Detailed description
The runner owns the folder, not the suite. A suite that made its own folder removed it at its end, and a crash, an abort or a kill at the timeout never reaches that end: 1 537 `octomy-test-*` folders were in /tmp on y8 on 2026-10-15. The runner removes the folder when the process ended, whatever the end, in remove() or in the destructor.
keep keeps the folder, as `–keep-basedir` asks (keepsBaseFolder()): the result names it. When the folder cannot be made, path() and arguments() are empty, and the suite makes its own folder as before.
The folder also holds the suite's temporary folder, temporaryFolder(), which withTemporaryFolder() gives the suite as its TMPDIR. So what the suite makes in the temporary folder — a QTemporaryDir that a test object holds, the scratch folder of the process, Qt's own files — goes with the base folder. In a suite that ends normally the test object is never destroyed (OC_TEST_END ends the process first), so its QTemporaryDir members never removed their folders: about 24 suites, and every crash.
