Detailed description

What a link needs beside the objects (§KN-B4): the startup objects, the folders the C and C++ runtime libraries live in, and the dynamic linker. On Debian these are the host's, found through the compiler the headers were captured from, never through the environment: the capture says `c++ (Debian 14.2.0-19) 14.2.0`, so the objects are GCC 14's. Carrying them in the released binary is owed with the P4 platforms.
