Detailed description

The oldest tool versions that built a kit to a first kiln (§KS-K6), from §KS-V3 on 2026-10-12: GNU make 4.3 and GCC 13.3 on Ubuntu 24.04, GCC 14.2 and clang 19.1 on Debian 13. A host below them gets a warning, not a refusal. A Windows kit has its own: ezwinports' GNU make 4.4.1 and LLVM's clang 23.1.3 on mathilde64, the gate of §KS-W2 on 2026-10-14.
