JingleAudioBackend

The synthesizer for Singularity's jingles, anthem and assist tone.

Declared in src/libs/libsing/audio/JingleAudioBackend.hpp
Inherits QObject
Group singularity

Detailed description

The backend plays raw PCM samples from Qt resources on a polyphonic voice pool, and it adds a sine assist tone. It runs in its own stereo schedule at 44.1 kHz and writes into the jingle RateBridge of SingAudioGraph, which carries the sound to the device rate. Without a graph it is silent.

loadSample() loads a sample by name. bookVoice() starts a voice on a sample and returns its ID, and killVoice() and killAll() stop voices. The audioBuffer() signal sends each block, for the visualization.

Property documentation

volume property

volume : int

This property holds the master volume, in percent.

100 plays the voices and the assist tone at their own level, and 0 is silent. The default is 100. A change does not jump: the output moves toward the new level a little on each sample, so a change makes no click. Jinglemaster animates this property to fade the sound in and out.

Access functions:

  • int volume() const
  • void setVolume(int volume)
