InterProcessRaise

Cross-platform inter-process window raising via QLocalSocket.

Inherits QObject

Declared in src/libs/libwindow/window/InterProcessRaise.hpp.

Detailed description

Each node starts a QLocalServer named "octomy-raise-{pid}". The hub connects to that server to signal the node to raise its window. Replaces the POSIX-only SIGUSR1 + self-pipe mechanism.

The request is one line: "raise", or "raise <token>" when the caller has an activation token of the desktop. The server raises the window and then answers "raised". A caller that sends no line before it disconnects also raises the window. Such a caller gets no answer.

A second start of the hub uses the answer (hub-instance-guard §HIG-10). A connection alone does not prove that the window came forward: the operating system accepts a connection while the event loop of the server is blocked.
