BakeoffOptions

Ready-to-run robot software for hobby robotics.

In the namespace banter_bench. Declared in src/tools/banter-bench/Bakeoff.hpp.

Detailed description

`banter-bench bakeoff`: the codec + preprocessing bake-off, the synthetic acoustic channel, the chirp-vs-tone-marker A/B, and the rig diagnostics that go with them.

banter-completion-1 §SP-4 / brick §MB-B3. It generalizes the one-way OFDM probe: pick the codec (OFDM / FSK / MCFSK / DPSK / CSS / MFSK / MFSKP / OFDM-FG / GGWAVE), toggle each preprocessing stage, transmit N frames one way and report the decode rate. That is how the single path (§SP-3) is confirmed by measurement rather than by the stale "FSK is the winner" claim: run each codec, run the winner with each preproc stage on and off, keep only what raises the bar, and freeze the config.

Why it is a tool and not a test (no-environment-variables §NEV-A4, rows T5–T14): it held ~70 environment reads and did nothing at all unless `OCTOMY_BAKEOFF_AUTO` was set, so CI compiled and ran it for no result. It asserts nothing — it drives its own raw QAudioSource/QAudioSink loopback and prints numbers. A program that measures, or that only does something when an operator wires hardware, is a tool, and a tool says what it needs on its command line.

Every default below is the default the unset environment produced, so a run with no flags measures exactly what an unset environment measured.
