Walk through pairing your first OctoMY™ Agent and Remote together. This page orchestrates the two existing steps — you'll follow links to each — rather than repeating their walkthroughs here.
Composite how-to
This is a composite guide. It tells you which steps to run and in what order; the step-by-step UI walkthroughs live in their own atomic pages so each one has a single source of truth.
If you don't yet have an Agent and Remote running, complete Your first Agent and Your first Remote first.
You have several methods to choose from depending on your environment. Open the Pairing how-to landing page and pick the one that fits — Pair via LAN is the default for a home or lab where both devices share a network. If you're on a public WiFi or want physical-proximity confirmation, take Pair via QR instead.
Do this: open Pairing — pick a method and complete one of the atomic guides through to the point where the Remote sends a pairing request to the Agent.
Once the Remote has sent the request, the Agent shows a pairing-request dialog. You accept, verify the Remote's identicon, and pick the trust level that's appropriate.
Do this: complete the final two steps in the atomic guide you chose — they end with both devices showing the connected status.
Both devices show a "Connected" status line. The Agent's address book contains the Remote (and vice-versa) with the trust level you assigned. From here you can:
Pairing has more than one way to be done — LAN, QR, audio, Bluetooth — and we don't want every entry point to re-explain those alternatives. Instead, this page acts as the first-time-pairing recipe and delegates the method choice to the Pairing landing page. When a new method ships, the landing page picks it up automatically and this composite gains a new option without any rewrite.
