Provides a metadata form (type id, title, description) and a C++ source editor (WidgetCodeEditor + CppSyntaxHighlighter). Subclasses add their type-specific fields via extraFieldsLayout() and override loadExtra()/saveExtra() to (de)serialize them.
Reads/writes the type via a Book. Built-in types are read-only.
