`QAbstractItemModel` and `app::Settings` live on the GUI thread. A render thread, a worker or the audio graph reads settings through a snapshot instead. The resolver publishes a new one after a change, when a reader asked, and a reader copies it by value. A reader takes no lock and never sees a half write (config-ui §CFGM-7).
